The main thing I wanted to find out was how to construct something with enough strength but also neatness of exterior. From dissecting the shoebox I found that I would need to make two nets for the lid and for the bottom.
I reduce a thick bought stock to create a structure and then print the pattern or design onto a paper which I would then wrapped round the stronger material. Here are the images of the net's that I created from looking at the shoebox.
These are the simplistic nets that are for the mount board/card and this will make up the base and lid. due to the fact that I will cover both of these I will make sure that the inside is black. This will help create a more professional outcome. Each of the tabs will be held by tape. Rather than using tabs this is a easier way that I found was used to make the shoebox due to the design covering the card aesthetically it's not important for it to be neat.
The image above is the net for the lid with a larger base it will fit over the net below.
This equally simple net is for the base of the box with deeper sides and a smaller base.
For the two nets above took a little more time to design due to the fact I wanted to work out how to make and ensure that the callers were neat so I've created tabs on only two sides of the net that will allow me to wrap the box and then with the other sides I can thought that straight over. This may make much sense but I'm hoping that it will work. Despite not creating or using complicated net I hope I can make up for that with neatness of construction and final outcomes.
