Bottle development

Within the brief it was stated how important it was to try different bottle shapes and move away from the stereotypical shapes that are becoming the standard for the drink.

I decided to try and experiment with the 3D tool on illustrator to start to mock up bottle shapes and begin to get some ideas.

I started to play around with designing the shape of the bottle. Initially I had been considering a square bottle that would look similar to a perfume bottle. However, I think that this was something I soon decided wouldnt work as it would look far too like something you wouldnt want to drink.

So I moved onto these smaller cylindrical shapes. First with the flat top then with the curve towards to the neck of the bottle.

All of these were interesting to create and useful to analyse what would and wouldnt work, however I am unsure of how good they look in terms of how 'real' they look. I believe that it may be better to propose some bottle ideas, but to concentrate on finding an image of something closer to the outcome I had in mind.

This process is also particularly interesting when applying the designed logo to the bottle. It has allowed me to visually explore with the placing of the logo and how it appears.

I prefer the whole logo being in it's entirety creating the full circle as this is how I designed the logo so any further manipulation may remove from it's outcome.
