YCN... Primary Research about Peacocks Customers
Survery
When we spoke to Lorraine about where we were up to and about how we could continue to develop our ideas she suggested finding out why people do or don't shop at Peacocks. I have put together this questionnaire to get some more accurate answers rather than just working on our own opinions.
I started by thinking about my opinion about Peacocks
Why I would shop there
- Cheap
- Always offers & student discount
- Good for basics
- Reliable brand
- Friends don't shop there so won't be buying the same things
- Can afford it if want a treat
What puts me off
- Looks like a jumble sale
- Have to search through everything to find something good
- More expensive than Primark
- Always a sale on selling rubbish
- Doesn't draw me in

Results
I have analysed the results I collected to see where this leaves us. Most of the people who responded were female, and while more people liked Peacocks than disliked it, still quite a number of people dislike the store. People don't seem to shop at Peacocks very often, and even when they do, they don't seem to spend a lot of money. All of these points prove that a campaign is needed, to attract more customers, to change people's opinions of Peacocks, and to want to visit the store and spend more money. Many of the opinions are quite negative, so it will be a hard challenge to convince people to go to the store, but if we achieve it this will make it even more rewarding.
Are you:
Do you like the clothes shop Peacocks?
How often do you shop in Peacocks?
If you do shop in Peacocks, do you buy for:
How much would you spend on an average trip to Peacocks?
Seems too 'cheap' in terms of quality

actually knowing what peacocks is, where it is and what they sell. I know nothing about them
peacocks would be really good if they had peacocks working in the store, i dont know how practical it would be but if peacocks worked on tills then i would definitely shop their more often. peacocks are really nice and i like it when they get dead agressive and flick their feathers up, i think maybe if you was to get peacocks working in the store then you would have to train them not to be agressive and just flick their feathers up to customers in a friendly way. I have been in a situation where a peacock showed me its feathers and as much as i enjoyed seeing them i couldnt help but feel threatened, i tried sticking my bum in the air to scare the peacock but it became territorial and struck me in the face with its foot. After a gruesome battle with the peacock i was left scared by the peacocks and i am forever scared when i walk down the street.
Better advertising of the male range of clothing
shut it down
Nope
It was classed as being little less council estate.
A better logo and celebrity endorsement
More stores, better store layout, better quality clothes
nicer shop layout- they're a bit boring - add some colourful signs or something
I find the stores really badly laid out and sometimes quite cluttered. So maybe a more organised shopping experience.
Rebrand of the logo because it makes the shop look a bit outdated. A advertising campaign aimed at the younger generation.
