Initial promotional material for Its Nice There

In response to the Its Nice That brief, I have decided on a concept of a sister brand for them. This would be a brand to help promote events both educational and entertaining. These would be grouped by area. The target audience would be students but of course this could be wider depending on the events. I initially decided I wanted to manipulate their current logo and edit it to spell 'It's Nice There' to continue their tone of voice.

For each of the original locations I wanted there to be a corresponding colour. I took inspiration from a colour palette I had seen somewhere else as I wanted the colours to be bright and bold. I had slight reservation with the cardiff and bristol colours as I thought they may appear too similar but I think that their names would always been shown along side due to the branding not ever being so reinforced or remembered.

I initially started to play with hexagons due to the idea of networking etc but decided it was too much like D&AD and this needed diversifying.

So I decided to use circles as a more simplistic shape. I thought at a later date it would be good to manipulate these as buttons in terms of apps and the website...

I wanted to show all of the other cities on the posters as I think its key to show they other places people can look up. I wanted to use large blocks of colour with a typographic emphasis.

I didnt want to use any other colours except black and stock with the added colour of the corresponding cities colour. These colours I think worked especially well when they were given a white boarder.

I thought about how much information I would want and considered using photographs but really these were an advert to go and find more information on the website and app.
