app development and concept

This was the development of the app. I wanted to design something that was simple to use initially and allowed the reader to view all locations but subscribe to a certain area. 

I wanted there to be an introductory stage to explain the intention of this app and also to reinforce the tone of voice. I used some of language from the website to ensure this was relevant and in keeping. 

This was my initial trial but I didnt like the white as I thought it seemed unfriendly and also the size of the text was really not going to work well. I liked how instructive it was though, 'How to use the Nice app' - I thought the clarity of this was good. 

I considered about using a map to indicate where each place was but was unsure how this would translate when introducing more areas and thought it may need to be simpler and more obvious so considered a search bar as seen above and then thought that it didn't look very interactive. So I thought a gradient button may also help.. but decided that this wouldnt work well enough due to the lack of clarity. 

This layout is a lot cleaner and may work with the cities with their corresponding colour..
