Initial promotional event guides and leaflets for promotion for around the city

 

Thinking about further collateral for this project I thought that it would be relevant to produce some smaller posters. I started designing them with the intention of them being of a reasonable thickness for specific events however, I need to really pin down what they are for, who they are for and this will help me to design on their specifications. 

 

The Bahrain Grand Prix is something that I want to advertise for as this is something that has interesting imagery and a strong identity. Its interesting to work with something that I could imagine becoming live. 

 

I wanted to use the shapes from the logo and combine them with how the images were seen. Here are two that I quickly designed from some experimentation. 

I have used the typeface that was used to the logo but I am also unsure if this is appropriate or necessary. I may decide on a secondary font that works the with logo type. This can then be used across the promotion from website to posters and wayfinding. 

 

For the city event guide which is what I'm proposing, I want to keep the front fairly simple as I think on the back there will be a lot of information which will require an organised grid. 

I hope to print these one I have developed them further as I think the way the image is shown through the logo shapes creates an interesting outcome due to the suspense of seeing the whole image. I do, however need to continue to experiment with for the optimum outcome. This may also include varying the shape for each image as there will be more important parts that will need to be seen or highlighted by the shapes of the logo.
