A positive change in direction

 Since the final crit I have been trying to decide on a solid concept, triggered by the suggestion of a more appropriate platform being film4 I started to think of how to ensure both idents and opening sequence relate well and that it is relevant to audiences.

The intention of an advert is to excite viewers and with films I thin it is also important to inspire people by films. A problem that I had with the brief was the fact that from my OWN PERSONAL experience, I know I wouldn't be excited by a top ten program, especially one that within the idents showed or hinted at what films would be in it or would be mentioned. What I feel is important with this brief is not giving so much away but instead keeping so much revealed.

I have, therefore, made the decision to base the strength of my concept all around a month of film 4 showing the best horror films. Each ident will inform the viewers of some of the films that will be shown and the opening scenes will introduce and explain the month and why it's happening. I can also include some facts about the films and perhaps comment on how the director of the film or the actors are commenting on the film before to add the experience. Perhaps, continuing the 'fright nights' on film4. I feel this is appropriate and makes a lot more sense.

I want to add to the viewers experience, not force my own or a surveys opinion on them.

I could also suggest that the films picked were decided by the film 4 audiences.
