My final posters: Type//Type + Image//Image.
I really like the use of colour in the paper with the black type. It creates an overall soft image which allows the type and vector to pop out.
I began by focussing mainly on the colours and experimenting with different typefaces. It seemed clear to be that black and red were the 2 colours I'd pick along with the white of the stock. I created this for the first pin up to show the direction I was going in.
Thought processes.
When originally looking at the Iraq war and torture I felt that the information I got was too general to transfer and that I wanted to focus on a specific statistic. The one that jumped out at me was this:
'14,396 journalists have been murdered in Iraq'
I felt this was an unbelievable statistic!!
